Jasa Marga Officiated New Mosque

In implementing its Corporate Social Responsibility, Jasa Marga officiated the new mosque in Jasa Marga Headquarter building complex,   located in Taman Mini Jakarta, done by the President Director on Thursday (12/7).

The Ar-Rahman Mosque is a relocation of an old Mosque, which is currently affected by the expansion and development project of Jasa Marga Headquarter. This new and impressive Mosque can accommodate approximately 2,100 people – threefold of the old Mosque’s capacity of 700 people. Built from the year 2010, the Mosque aims to accommodate the employees, surrounding community, and travelers who are in need of worshipping place.

 

The new Mosque consists of 3 floors. The first floor is a multipurpose room with 400 people capacity, mostly to accommodate children religious education activities, especially from the surrounding areas. The second floor is the main room of the Mosque, while the third floor serves as an additional room for various religious activities.

In his opening speech, Jasa Marga President Director, Adityawarman, encourages everyone to be grateful for God’s blessing in the form of this new Mosque. Moreover, he stated that the Mosque should serve as a spiritual education venue for those in need. “Let us enrich the Mosque with various spiritual development activities, especially for developing honesty,” Adit stated. He also invited the religious community leaders in the surrounding areas to leverage and use the Mosque together. “Therefore, any activity that we do in Jasa Marga will become religious activity,’ Adit added.

The Mosque officiating was symbolized through the inscription signing by Adityawarman and other Board of Directors members. Frans Sunitro, former Jasa Marga President Director in 2006-2012, also attended the event. Indeed, his role in the relocation of Ar Rahman Mosque was substantial. The event was also attended by Jasa Marga Commissioners, officials, and all stakeholders of Mosque development, including the local government and surrounding community.

In addition to Islamic daily prayers, the event also featured sermon by KH Anwar Sanusi, who reinstated that Mosque should be the center of worship, culture, empowerment, and unity to increase faith and good spiritual qualities.qqq (Komper/Foto by : Anang) .
