Jasa Marga Targets 2011 Revenue Increases by 9.84%

Jasa Marga Targets 2011 Revenue Increases by 9.84%

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. has targeted to increase this year’s revenue by 9.84% from 4.37 trillion in 2010 to 4.8 trillion. Similarly, the growth of traffic volume transaction is also projected to reach 1.05 billion in 2011, representing an increase by 9.37% from 0.96 billion vehicles in 2010.

At 3Q of 2011, Section Waru-Sepanjang (2 km) which is Stage 1A of Surabaya-Mojokerto is officially operated starting from 27 August 2011. In addition, to ease the traffic burden during the recent Idul Fitri holiday, Jasa Marga began the trial of 11 km Semarang-Ungaran Toll Road Section which is part of Semarang-Solo Toll Road.

In the first half of 2011, Jasa Marga has also signed the consortium agreement on the development of Bali’s first toll road, i.e. Nusa Dua-Ngurah Rai-Benoa Toll Road of 10 km, in which Jasa Marga has 60% ownership. The construction of the said toll road is scheduled to begin in November 2011.

Meanwhile, Jasa Marga has also acquired 13.61 km Gempol-Pandaan Toll Road by increasing its ownership to 51.17%.

With two additional toll road sections, Jasa Marga now has a total of nine new toll road projects. The seven toll road projects are Bogor Outer Ring Road (11 km), Gempol-Pasuruan (34.15 km), Semarang-Solo (75.7 km), JORR W2 North (7.7 km), Cengkareng-Kunciran (14.9 km), Kunciran-Serpong (15.2 km), and Surabaya-Mojokerto (36.3 km). Within the next 3 to 4 years, Jasa Marga will operate approximately 750 km of toll roads.

 

Service Modernization

For the purpose of providing maximum services to toll road users, Jasa Marga continuously makes various improvements in services which include construction, traffic as well as toll transaction services. In the aspect of toll transaction, the Company keeps improving the implementation of e-Toll Card. Ever since it was launched in early 2009, the number of transactions continues to grow. In the first half of 2011, e-Toll Card transaction has reached over 10 million vehicles, showing an increase by 53.37% out of the total transactions of first half 2010 reaching 6.54 million vehicles. The Company is targeting to implement e-Toll Card as one of the means of transactions on all of its operating sections by the end of 2012.

In the aspect of construction service, in 2011, Jasa Marga has conducted widening on several toll roads that have reached certain level of congestion such as Jagorawi, Jakarta-Tangerang and Purbaleunyi. Jasa Marga also continuously conducts periodical maintenance of its toll roads for the safety and comfort of the toll road users.

Apart from modernization in operation and services to toll road users, as a company that is aware of the environment and to show its corporate social responsibility for the surrounding community, Jasa Marga also brings it serious attention to the forestation of toll road surrounding by carrying tree-planting program. To date, Jasa Marga has planted 377 thousand of trees spreading all over toll roads under its operation. Because of this effort, Jasa Marga has recently received Indonesia Green Award, appreciating and recognizing Jasa Marga’s environmental awareness by conducting forestation along the toll road corridor. The toll road forestation program is intended to realize a united and harmonious environment so as to improve the toll road visual quality as well as the comfort of toll road users. Furthermore, the said program is aimed at preserving the beauty of toll road surrounding.

In addition to toll road forestation, Jasa Marga also shows its commitment to supporting the road disciplined program by publishing children book entitled ‘Aku Tertib Berlalu Lintas’ distributed to Elementary Schools all across the country. Also, as a means of educating people on good driving conducts, especially on toll road, Jasa Marga organizes training on driving etiquettes intended for drivers of public transportation vehicles.
