Bekasi BUMN Care Synergy Post Has Dispatched an Evacuation Team and Distributed Aid For Flood Victims Worth Rp. 495 Million
Bekasi (1/05) - Since day one of the flood disaster, BUMN Care Synergy Post for Bekasi Flood Disaster has dispatched an evacuation team for the flood victims and distributed emergency aid at more than 50 areas in Bekasi.
The post was initiated by the Ministry of SOEs, coordinated by Jasa Marga that supervised 19 other SOEs, namely BRI, BTN, Jasa Raharja, KAI, Mandiri, Indofarma, Kimia Farma, Perumnas, Bukit Asam, Jasa Tirta 2, Telkom, PT KBI, PT PP, PLN, BNI, Amarta, Jamkrindo, RNI and Angkasa Pura 1.
Besides Bekasi, the Ministry of SOEs also built aid posts in West, North, East, South and Central Jakarta as well as Bekasi, Bogor, Tangerang, South Tangerang, and Karawang.
Occupying Posts in the Office of PT Jalantol Lingkarluar Jakarta (JLJ) in Jatiasih, Bekasi, Jasa Marga gathers aid from other SOEs and coordinates with the Bekasi City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for the distribution.
During the first two days of the flood disaster (January 1-2, 2020), as the coordinator of the post, Jasa Marga stationed 25 chosen trained and certified experts in the field of medicine and evacuation from several groups of natural activists, such as Jasamarga Pegiat Alam (Jasmapala) of Jasa Marga Group. They used 2 units of rubber boats for evacuation and provision of food for the flood victims in Duta Indah Housing, Bumi Nasio Housing and Villa Nusa Indah Housing.
The Post of the Bekasi Regional Flood Disaster Care also gathers emergency assistances for flood victims such as food, mineral water, food, blankets, sleeping mats, baby diapers, and others in which, to date, reaching Rp. 495 million worth.
They were distributed by six teams to 50 locations, including Jati Asih, Pondok Gede, Rawa Lumbu, Bantar Gebang, South Bekasi, Mustika Jaya Subdistricts and other Bekasi areas affected by floods.
Jasa Marga Corporate Secretary M. Agus Setiawan, the post coordinator, said that as long as the weather forecast predicts an ongoing rainfall within Jadetabek (greater Jakarta), the post will always be there for the citizens of Bekasi.
“Up to now, we're still distributing aid to affected areas within Bekasi. Even though the rainfall during these several days has been relatively low, we urge officers to remain on standby for immediate aid for the citizens within areas prone to floods,” said Agus.
One of the donatees within Jatikramat Bekasi, the Head of RW 04 Rosyid, who is also the coordinator of the aid distribution within the flood disaster areas, expressed his gratitude to all the SOEs for taking actions to help the flood victims.
“SOEs aid have been really helpful for our Emergency Posts and Kitchen within the affected areas and has helped fulfill the needs of the flood victims. Thank you, SOEs,” said Rosyid.
