Jasa Marga Started the First Quarter of 2022 with a Positive Performance, Earning a Profit of Rp392.8 Billion

Jakarta (05/13) – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (the "Company") was able to start the first quarter of 2022 with a very positive performance despite Indonesia's economic situation continuing to improve and recover from the pandemic. 

The company earned Rp392.8 billion in net profit, an increase of 142.7 percent or Rp231.0 billion over the first quarter of 2021. Improving performance in the first quarter of 2022 demonstrates the Company's commitment to maintaining performance growth. 

The Company recorded Operating Revenues of Rp. 3.2 Trillion, a 16.0 percent increase, which was contributed by Toll Revenues of Rp. 2.9 Trillion, a 15.7 percent increase, and Other Operating Revenues of Rp. 257.8 Billion, a 9.6 percent increase from the same period the previous year. 

The operation of new toll road sections, as well as an increase in community mobilization, have become positive catalysts for the Company's traffic volume increase. Not only that, but the Company was able to achieve an EBITDA growth of 12.7 percent, or Rp. 2.2 Trillion, with an EBITDA Margin of 68.1 percent this quarter. 

Jasa Marga will add operational toll roads with the operation of the Manado-Bitung Toll Road, the Danowudu-Bitung section of 13.42 km, until the first quarter of 2022. The opening of the final section of the Manado-Bitung Toll Road completes the 26.35- kilometer Manado-Danowudu Section, which was inaugurated in September 2020. 

The Jasa Marga Consortium, through PT Jasamarga Gedebage Cilacap (JGC), a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), the BUMN-Private Consortium winning the auction for the construction of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road, signed a Concession Agreement Toll Road (PPJT) the toll road in January 2022. With a total length of 206.65 kilometers, this section is Indonesia's longest toll road, with an investment value of IDR 56 trillion and a concession period of 40 years. 

Amidst the increase in the intensity of operating toll roads and concessions in the first quarter of 2022, the Company remains the market leader in the toll road industry, with a total length of toll roads that have been operating until the first quarter of 2022 of 1,260 km, showing 51 percent of toll roads operating throughout the year. Indonesia. 

All whilst, Jasa Marga's total toll road concessions in Indonesia will reach 1,809 km by the end of 2021. 2 The Company is indeed steadfast within the goal to achieving environmentally, socially, and administratively sustainable toll roads. In February 2022, the Company, through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Bali Tol, signed a Solar Power Plant Facility (PLTS) Cooperation Agreement with PT Bukit Energi Investama (IDX), a subsidiary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, in order to support the implementation of Bali's G20 Presidency in 2022.

The solar panels, which are now under construction, will be erected at six locations along the Bali-Mandara highway, each spanning one kilometer. Jasa Marga also assists the National Police Korlantas in implementing Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) or electronic ticketing on a number of toll road sections managed by the Jasa Marga Group in order to achieve safe toll roads. 

The Police use of electronic fines on toll roads targets two types of violations: vehicles that violate overload using Weigh in Motion and over speed using a speed camera. At the beginning of this year, the Company also implemented a number of Social Responsibility and The Environment initiatives, along with the construction of six biogas points in the Citarum River conservation program, in partnership with Perum Jasa Tirta II, and the retaining of a BUMN Service program in Mandalika Lombok in partnership with Pegadaian and ITDC, which is an Employee Volunteering Program that aims to improve BUMN employees' concern for the community and the environment.
