Jasa Marga is Optimistic The 2021 Performance Target is Achieving Positive Performance and Launching Numerous Innovations

Jakarta (08/09) – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has succesfully for maintaining a positive performance during Semester I of 2021 which was reflected both in the increasing in revenue and EBITDA Margin that has been caused by the operation of new toll roads in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the Public Expose LIVE 2021 which was held today, Wednesday (08/09), Jasa Marga's Investor Relations Department Head Milka Theodora also explained that the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the Company's business, but the Company was still able to preserve its market share at 51% with succeeded in adding operations along the 55.94 km toll road since the beginning of the year until now.

Comprehensively, Milka explained that Operating Income in 2020 decreased by 12.7% compared to 2019, which is of course the main impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Performance in the first semester of 2021 has improving, it has proven from the increasing in operating income by 29.95% due to the operation of new toll road sections supported by increased community mobilization, which has an impact on increasing traffic volume. Not only that, EBITDA also increased by 40.76% in line with the increase in Toll Revenue in Semester I of 2021. This also led to an increase in EBITDA Margin which reached 64.10%, "said Milka.

In the midst of the pandemic and the condition of toll revenues which are still in the recovery stage and the majority of Jasa Marga Group's toll road sections have been operating in 2021, Milka explained that the Company's Interest Bearing Debt to Equity Ratio is maintaining within the corridor required by creditors. "In addition, the Company's ability to pay interest obligations is also maintained as in the previous year and Jasa Marga was able to diminish the cost of debt in the first semester of 2021," he added.
Jasa Marga is targeting the Manado-Bitung Toll Road section of the Danowudu-Bitung (26.35 Km) operating in the fourth quarter for the new toll road operation target until the end of 2021. formerly, Jasa Marga has successfully operating four other toll roads, namely Bogor Ring Road Toll Road Section 3A Simpang Yasmin-Semplak Intersection (2.85 Km), Cengkareng-Batuceper-Kunciran Toll Road (14.19 Km), Serpong Toll Road- Cinere Section I Serpong-Pamulang (6.50 Km), and the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road Section I (21.66 Km) and Section 5 (10.74 Km).

All of these achievements already done because Jasa Marga has also made various efforts to maintain performance during the pandemic, such as carrying out several efficiencies, especially on business or operational expenses, implementing work programs according to a priority scale while maintaining the fulfillment of toll road Minimum Service Standards (SPM). optimizing the Company's assets, through doing asset recycling.

Carrying the spirit of innovation and transformation, throughout Semester I of 2021 Jasa Marga also improving services for the convenience and safety of toll road users through launching technology-based innovations, namely the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC), which is the first toll road traffic control center and The most complete system in Indonesia based on the Intelligent Transportation System and the launching of the Travoy 3.0 application which is designed as a digital travel assistant for helping toll road users drive on toll roads with features such as toll tariff information, panic shakes until road user reports.

In the midst of the pandemic and the implementation of the policy of restricting community mobility, Jasa Marga is also consistent in continuing to improve operational performance in collaboration with other stakeholders. In supporting the operational services of Eid Al-Fitr 1442 H, Jasa Marga also supports transportation control policies together with other stakeholders such as the Police, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.

Jasa Marga together with the University of Indonesia, the Bandung Institute of Technology and the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP) conducted a Road Assessment of the Jagorawi Toll Road and Cipularang Toll Road as an assessment of the level of safety ensuring safer roads based on international standards. The results that has been obtained through the two sections are three star ratings or more in accordance with the targets set in the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (UN's SDG) and Global Road Safety Performance (GRSP), which means that the toll roads are safe and can be developed better in order ensure the safety of road infrastructure.

Jasa Marga has made various efforts conducting productive and safe business processes both in the work environment, toll road operations and rest areas, including implementing transportation control programs and random check antigens on toll roads, implementing protocols health in Rest Areas, Toll Gates, services to toll road users, to the construction of toll road projects that are still ongoing for preventing the spread of COVID-19 transmission.

Jasa Marga is also committing for helping alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the community. Economic stimulus is given by the Company to the fostered partners of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the form of using MSME production services and Fostered Partners for various needs according to their business fields. In addition, Jasa Marga also held the BUKBER (Culture We Share) program, which consisted of three main activities, namely the Love Letter for 620 Health Workers (Nakes), Prayers and Smiles for a Thousand Orphans with 1,000 Eid packages and 6,600 Happiness Ramadan Packages.
