Tangerang (12/27) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. played an active role in the development of Giving Back to Nature Zone at the Cisadane River Garbage Bank (Banksasuci) in West Panunggangan, Cibodas Sub-District, Tangerang, Banten.
The zone development was initiated by Jasa Marga, in synergy with 8 other SOEs: PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Waskita (Persero) Tbk., PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk., PT Nidya Karya (Persero), PT Brantas Abipraya, and PT Balai Pustaka (Persero).
This zone was handed over to the surrounding community on Friday (27/12). The handover ceremony was witnessed by Special Staff of the SOEs Ministry Arya Sinulingga, Tangerang City Regional Secretary Tatang Sutisna, President Director of Jasa Marga and Tangerang City Muspida staff.
Jasa Marga also donated an Amphitheater to the citizens of Cibodas, West Panunggangan administrative-village,Tangerang, which was symbolically handed over to Tatang Sutisna by Arya Sinulingga.
Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani says that SOEs involvement in the national strategic projects and environmental preservation has contributed to the national development. One of their apparent contribution which touches the life of the nation is the launching of the Giving Back to Nature program.
“This program is SOEs attempt to maintain the natural ecosystem and preserve the environment which will reinforce SOEs role in community welfare," added Desi.
Desi hopes that the zone will improve the economy of the community around the Cisadane River and provide education to the public at large about the importance of sustainable preservation.
Tangerang City Regional Secretary Tatang Sutisna acknowledges the benefit of the program. The zone has added to the list of green areas within the city of Tangerang which is becoming rare. He hopes that the program will extend to other areas around the Cisadane river.
"Thanks for the contribution of Jasa Marga and other SOEs. Please don't stop here, I hope that the zone will be expanded from year to year," he said.
Meanwhile Special Staff for the Field of Communication of SOE Minister Arya Sinulingga hopes that the program will be carried out sustainably, not merely developed, but also maintained.
"There must be economic activities to nurture the zone. Leave the funding matters to us (the Ministry of SOEs). We can help with revolving funds for the zone's economic growth, adding more facilities in the future for sustainability," he said.
The development of the zone was initiated by Jasa Marga on March 2019, preceded by the development and fostering of the Jasa Marga community, the River Front Edu Center of Banksasuci, which has been ongoing since 2015.
At the Banksasuci River Front Edu Center site, Jasa Marga has developed a botanical area in which 4,000 fruit trees and more than 1,350 flowering plants were planted to maintain biodiversity. The Jogging Track has also been developed and improved.
In addition, there is the Rezeki Warehouse, a place for plastic waste management with modern tools using a press system for recycling. For surrounding communities, Banksasuci also provides Early Childhood Education learning facilities. This area is also equipped with flying fox, wall climbing, and additional speed boats for crossing the Cisadane River.
